Not all surgeons are board certified. Board certification by the ABS is a voluntary process that demonstrates a surgeon's commitment to lifelong learning and quality patient care. To earn a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) credential you must pass the PVI examination. The Physicians' Vascular Interpretation (PVI) examination tests basic vascular knowledge and skills essential to Sonography Professionals.
